Associate Pastor-Robbie Boyd attended Harvest Ministries as a teenager and accepted his calling into ministry at the age of 14. He's been a faithful member of COGOP since age 12 assisting and growing in ministry while his parents were Pastoring throughout his formative years. He comes from a rich heritage of ministers from my grandfather, father and mother. Rev Rob has held several different ministry positions through the years. He has served as the Youth Pastor at Lynchburg for 3 years, State Youth Director for 6 years, Camp Director for 7 years, Youth Pastor at Harvest Ministries for 6 years, Outreach/Sound AV Pastor for the past 2 years and presently as Associate Pastor. Robbie has participated in and led many mission trips in the US and out of the country as well. He has a servant's heart and loves to preach, teach, and minister any way he can to our local body and community. In addition to his ministerial duties he works full time for LOA as the Director of Elder Rights which assists the Roanoke, Botetourt, Alleghany, Salem, and Craig County Seniors with emergency services, VICAP Counseling, Senior Medicare Patrol, Legal Services, and Critical transportation. Working a full time job at a Non-Profit organization also continues to allow him to minister in the community. In 2008, Robbie married to his lovely wife Mindy. They have 2 energetic and passionate sons who keep them on their toes.
